  • Only funny? or you agree with what he says?

By Blogger Begreatfull, at Monday, 14 May, 2007

  • Shiksa, I agree with what he says in theory. Meaning, his logic makes sense if you apply it to humans, but since God isn't human, we can't use the same rules.

By Blogger It's All Good Now, at Tuesday, 15 May, 2007

  • I guess you can't apply any logic to something not human that is exactly what he is talking about.

Of course people can choose to believe in things that aren't human or visible but that in it self doesn't make it real.

the only logical answer that I find applies here is more or less having blind faith, Believing in itself is only a believe.

  • Shiksah, faith is believing in something without logical or tangible proof.

By Blogger Begreatfull, at Tuesday, 15 May, 2007

My apologies but I really have a hard time understanding you, try to at least use words to help you with your spelling.

If I would ever believe in a God it wouldn't be that God that I was raised with, Hope that answers your question.

By Blogger Begreatfull, at Tuesday, 15 May, 2007

  • so you dont believe in god or religoun so what does when u say that ur life is now more spiritual than religous mean

I'm not here to explain to you my level of religion or spirituality, either way you find it offensive, lets just say I believe differently then you do and leave it at that.

By Blogger Begreatfull, at Wednesday, 16 May, 2007

  • anon, Leave my name the hell out if..Who or what are you to discuss my levels of believe?

I do find this clip sad, rather then funny...

Eich bin a frim meidel who believes in GOD..I dont believe in minhugam as shaving heads, Or women got no rights to drive.etc. "ANON".

There is a big difference in not believing in a man made system(community rules) & G-d...

  • You gotta admit though. Whatever you believe or don't believe about religion, it certainly makes for some great conversation and debate.

By Blogger It's All Good Now, at Thursday, 17 May, 2007

  • So far nothing really great was debated here.

By Blogger Begreatfull, at Thursday, 17 May, 2007

  • i think the big problem with religion is what man has done to it. do you think all the big religious leaders who we are supposed to look up to are doing it all lshaim shomayim? bull shit.

to anon, they say the difference between religion and spirituality is, religion is for people who are afraid of going to hell, spirituality is for people who have already been there.

  • It all depends on how strong your believe is, meaning if it's only from what your parents told you, and you follow blindly, or that you've been at the crossroads many times, and you've felt the difference in both ways, you've felt the feeling of doing the right thing even when it's hardest, the feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. There are many people in the frum orthodox community that complain that they don't have a strong faith, that their "EMUNAH" is weak. well guess what, did you ever try to research your faith?, what it's based on?, why do you think all these “apikorsim” including George Carlins, will always refer to the world as millions of years? I’ll tell you, because then it sounds more unbelievable and bogus. It’s just one of the many tricks of mocking something, and don’t forget humor is the best way to mocking, because you can always say “it was just a joke” we all do it subconsciously.
when someone is looking for a profession they go to college for many many years, numerous tests and countless late nights of research, if you'll do the same with your faith then you'll realize that one funny clip, is cute and funny, but full of bull shit as he says himself, I was rolling of my seat, but did it affect my faith in any way? No, because I’ve done my research, and no, not on-line. And for those of you who were always told “naaa!! You’re not allowed to discuss that, you just have to believe” that’s full of crap, they just don’t have a better answer. But open up some history and you’ll see that there is an exact account for every single year in our history, and don’t worry it’s not too complicated to keep track, it’s not even 6000 years!!

Oh, and for you Shiksa - I look up to you for staying strong with whatever you believe, by not discussing it, and trying to convince others is the biggest proof that you did do the research, however I must say, in my humble opinion you picked the wrong books.

  • Anon:

Faith to me is not something you can research on, you either have it or you don't thats just my opinion.

I don't necessarily agree with everything you say but I respect what ever you choose to believe and follow that work for you.
